Okay okay, this last one may sound like a no-brainer, but after a week or two of photographing your kids on vacation you may start to forget why you were there in the first place; to relax and have fun right?
Although kids typically love being the center of attention, the camera lens can easily burn them out. All the ‘smile’ and ‘look at the camera’ can quickly get annoying and then you’re left with sour faces and vacant stares. My advice – don’t let it get to that point. Take advantage of the activities and movements your kids are doing naturally. Candid and lifestyle shots are going to be way more powerful than any forced poses if the kids aren’t happy.
So have fun in the sun and let your kids be kids. Your photo album {and your sanity} will be all the better for it.
Well that about wraps it up. Thanks for walking through this series with me and allowing me to showcase my family’s summer vacation and ‘7 Tips for Taking Great Vacation Pics of Your Kids’!
