I’m waiting for the day we have a wedding take place at the beautiful Tackett’s Mill Lakeside. It would make such a beautiful backdrop for wedded bliss, and we got a sneak peek of what that would look like during our “First Look” bridal shoot with Vivid Bridal Boutique back in November. I was honored and blessed to photograph this gorgeous military couple as they prepared for their upcoming wedding at their very first duty station in Hawaii. Yeah yea, Tackett’s Mill is no Hawaii, but I think we did their first look justice.
This beautiful bride received her stunning dress and first class bridal service from Mrs. Susana Pessoa, owner of Vivid Bridal Boutique, located in the Tackett’s Mill shopping plaza. Her hair was thoughtfully styled in a ‘do she hoped to replicate on her wedding day by the stylists of Statement’s the Salon, and her flawless makeup was applied by the amazing Bella Curtis who also spent the hour giving advice to the maid of honor who would be applying the bride’s makeup on the wedding day. What an amazing and loving team I got to witness and photograph.
And why the blindfold you ask?. Well, this fun couple wanted to keep it traditional as we were photographing the bride in her super stunning Vivid dress, and they did not want to take away from the breathtaking moment the groom would get to see his bride in all her vivid beauty on their perfect wedding day. We made all these great memories happen without spoiling the surprise.
So there you have it. Whether you are getting married here in Woodbridge, Virginia or at some gorgeous destination overseas, we’ve got your back. Come get your dress, your hair and makeup tips and your portraits all here at Tackett’s Mill.
